We are one of the most innovative, successful, and cost-effective book publishing services out there. We call our unique process “Today’s Voice ™.” We offer traditional publishing services, but instead of a publishing house owning the rights and profiting off of your work, you retain the rights. “Today’s Voice™” publishes books using a unique, collaborative process that puts you in the driver’s seat. We start by seeing what excites you most about your book and then we help you take that idea and develop it into a complete manuscript ready for publication. We walk with you from concept to finished book.
What are your options?
Grimoire Press International's "Today’s Voice ™"
Our process is simple! First, we'll have a consultation. We can either chat on the phone or via video call. Then, after pinpointing an ideal timeline for you, we get started on your project! We assemble a team of experienced editors, proofreaders, typesetters, illustrators, cover designers and printers, to ensure a top-quality result. Our team works directly with you to produce a top-quality result.
What do we get? Our organization charges a flat production fee based upon the level of services required for your project, and the complexity and length of the work. In many cases, our production fee can be paid with a modest down payment, and the remainder of the payments at various stages of project development. Once the balance of your fee is paid, and your work is exactly as you desire, we talk to the major distributors on behalf of you, the author.
Our experts consult with you every step of the way to provide you with high quality work at affordable prices. We work with large-volume printers and distributors such as Barnes and Noble®, Amazon.com®, and Ingram®. The publisher and printer are compensated by a very reasonable price markup on each book sold through their venue. Most of the time, the only out of pocket money you have to spend is for our consulting and publishing fee.
Most of all, please remember that YOU, the author, retains creative control of your project and you will get to keep 100% of your royalties.
Traditional Publishing (Formal)
Formal publishing is the more time-consuming process of getting an author’s hard work out to the masses. Traditional publishing houses do not accept manuscripts from authors directly and only work with literary agents. Regardless of whether you decide to solicit an agent or the publishing company directly, you will need to send a query letter.
If you can make it through that, it will still take more time to do a final edit, strategize how to properly market and sell your novel, and get it to shelves—a process that can sometimes take years.
A book agent will take a 15% cut of any advances and all future royalties. To earn any royalties, your book must first surpass in sales what you made in the cash advance (most authors never accomplish this and often get dropped by their publishers).
With Formal Publishing, you will have infrequent paydays. You’re paid royalties twice a year, on January 15 and July 15. Not least of all, you will have a loss of rights, creative control, and have deadlines to meet.
Do It Yourself Publishing is the self-publishing pathway for authors looking to do everything themselves. You are responsible for the writing, editing, formatting, and design of your book with DIY. You create, print, and distribute your book however you like. However, remember that you are responsible for all upfront and post financial costs.
